Biography of Leo D. Kelly
Leo D. Kelly, born on March 12, 1886, in Russell, Illinois, became assistant cashier of the National Bank of Commerce in St. Louis. The youngest of fourteen children, he pursued education at public schools and the College of Commerce in Kenosha, graduating in 1904. He began his career as a stenographer and progressed through various roles in railroads and banking. Active during World War I, he also served in community drives. Kelly married Ruth M. Kranke in 1918 and is involved with the Roman Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
