Planting, Freada Lucille – Obituary

Freada Lucille Planting, 86, of Boise, passed away on December 14, 2002. Born on April 7, 1916, in Roswell, Idaho, she was the eighth of twelve children. After marrying Clarence A. Planting in 1939, they lived in various locations before returning to Boise in 1949. An active church member, Freada taught Sunday school and decorated wedding cakes. Following Clarence’s death in 1986, she moved to Valley View Retirement. She is survived by a daughter, a son, two brothers, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Phelps, James LeRoy Jr. – Obituary

James LeRoy Phelps Jr. passed away on October 8, 2007, after a brief illness. Born on March 26, 1928, in Weldona, Colorado, he moved to Idaho in the late 1930s, where he grew up on a farm. A Navy veteran, he served on the U.S.S. Midway and married Dorothy Burt in 1948. He had a 26-year teaching career, retiring from Adrian Grade School. James is survived by his wife, five children, two brothers, a sister, twenty-three grandchildren, and thirty great-grandchildren. Services will be held on October 13th at Sunrise Christian Church.
