Revelstoke England

Revelstoke parish features a coastal church near Stoke Point and Bigbury Bay, with most residents in the fishing village of Noss Mayo, situated on the creek of the Yealm. The village has a history of cholera outbreaks, notably in 1849, leading to significant fatalities. In 1841, the parish had 613 residents and spans 1470 acres. The manor, formerly owned by the Revells, is now held by Robert Robertson, Esq. The curacy is linked with Yealmpton’s vicarage, supported by various benefactions for the poor.
