Walls, Susie – Obituary

Mary Susan (Susie) Walls, aged 89, passed away on January 3, 1981, at Woodland Convalescent Center in Washington. Born October 22, 1891, in Bolt, West Virginia, she moved to Wallowa County in 1907 and married Russell E. Walls in 1914. A dedicated housewife and member of the Methodist Church, she was renowned for her baking. Services were held on January 6 at Wallowa Cemetery, officiated by Reverend Don Hawkins. She is survived by her brother Dola N. Clemens and nephew Ross Clemens.

Walls, Rhoda Minerva – Obituary

Rhoda Minerva Walls was born on November 13, 1865, in Raleigh County, West Virginia, and passed away on February 8, 1931, at the age of 65. She married J. J. Trump in 1888, with whom she had five children. After his death, she married Joner Trump in 1927, who died in a railroad accident shortly after. Rhoda is survived by her children, 14 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, siblings, and a niece she raised, leaving behind a grieving family and many friends.

Henderson, C.R. – Obituary

Charles Richard Henderson, a longtime resident of Wallowa, Oregon, and retired Union Pacific railroad employee, died on May 24, 1972, at Wallowa Memorial Hospital after a prolonged illness. Born on September 24, 1909, in West Virginia, he married Leota Allen in 1934. He is survived by three daughters, a brother, three sisters, two step-sisters, and five grandchildren. Memorial services were held at Bollman Chapel, officiated by Frank Ingersoll, with interment at Wallowa Cemetery.
