Wilson, T. J. – Obituary

T. J. Wilson, a former county assessor for Washington County and resident of Greenville, passed away on Monday at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland due to declining health. He had undergone several surgeries over the years. A native of Washington County, Wilson was well-regarded in the community and leaves behind a wife and several children. His burial took place on Wednesday, with services conducted by Rev. Jas Campbell, supported by Montezuma Lodge I.O.O.F. of Hillsboro and local brethren.

Wilson, William Benton – Obituary

William Benton Wilson, a lifelong resident of Washington County, died at his home in Portland at the age of 71. Born on a donation land claim near Greenville, he was the son of pioneers William and Sarah Wilson. He married Martha J. Crow 45 years ago and is survived by his wife, two daughters, and several siblings. Funeral services took place on Monday in Portland, followed by burial at Riverview Cemetery.

Bacon, Wort – Obituary

Wort Bacon, 45, died suddenly at his home near Greenville, Oregon, on July 19. He is survived by his wife and child. Just hours before his passing, Bacon had been in Forest Grove coordinating real estate matters with John Beal. A resident of Portland and Washington County for 15 years, he was the son of Cyrus Bacon, who predeceased him along with his wife in April. Bacon will be laid to rest at Wilkes Cemetery on Tuesday.

Warnock, Robert N.

Robert N. Warnock, a member of a pioneering family in Wallowa County, passed away at his home in Oswego on February 26, 1941. Born in Kansas in 1864, he journeyed west with his family in 1879. Known for running cattle and operating a photograph gallery in Enterprise, he later moved to Oregon, where he successfully engaged in various occupations, including taxi driving. He was married three times and is survived by his third wife, Sadie Kenniston, and three daughters, along with his brother and sister.
