Biography of Alonzo L. Richardson

Alonzo L. Richardson, born on December 19, 1841, in Missouri, arrived in Idaho in 1861 during its early development. Province, Richard La Verne – Obituary

Richard “Dick” La Verne Province, 78, of Elgin, Oregon, passed away on September 19, 2007. Born on October 3, 1928, in Callaway, Nebraska, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1947. A dedicated logger until his retirement in 2006, Dick was active in the Lions Club and Good Sams. He is survived by his companion, Janet M. Bauer, four children, 12 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at the Elgin Stampede Hall.

Burril, Glen “Stub” – Obituary

Glen “Stub” Burril, 77, of Baker City, formerly of Unity, passed away on October 21, 2005. His graveside service is scheduled for 2 p.m. MDT on Friday at Wilder Cemetery, led by Pastor Roger Scovil. Born October 22, 1927, in Pierce, Idaho, he served in the U.S. Army and worked in the timber industry, enjoying a long career as a logging truck driver. Stub is survived by his companion LaVelle Givens, children, grandchildren, and various family members. He was predeceased by his wife, Obeta, and several siblings.
