Paradise, Wallowa County, Oregon Clifford Applegate, 51 year-old Umatilla carpenter, died here today at the home of his sister, Mrs. Merton Kuhn, following a brief illness. A native of Paradise, Ore., and a former resident of Wallowa county, Applegate had resided for the last three and one half years in Umatilla. Bob Swisher of Enterprise died Aug. 9, 2006, at his home of natural causes. He was 85. Mr. Swisher was born Sept. 6, 1920, in Paradise to William Harry Swisher and Martha Ann Gordon Swisher. He was inducted into the U.S. Navy on May 8, 1942. He served with the 9th Construction Battalion with a rank of First Class Mech. Mate during World War II. Final Services Held For Grace Conley Grace Conley passed away Friday evening, July 5, 1974 at Wallowa Memorial Hospital following a short illness. She had lived at the Wallowa County Nursing Home for several years. She was born Aug. 8, 1875 near Danville, Penn., daughter of William C. and Rebecca Wilson. He was born in Illinois, on March 1, 1845, being the son of William and Mary (Weils) Pullen, natives respectively of Pennsylvania and Liverpool. Twaddell, Elizabeth Barnes – Obituary

Rev. Smith who has been helping in the meetings at Wallowa and the Bramlet Chapel returned home the first of the week to conduct funeral services of Mrs Twaddell. Died at her home in Paradise Feb 9, 1902 Mrs Elizabeth Twaddell. Mrs Twaddell was near 76 years old. She leaves a husband and two sons. She suffered a stroke of paralysis three days before her death. Paradise, Oregon Rena E. Clark, a former resident of Athena, died Sept. 23, 2007, at the St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton. She was 90. Mrs. Clark was born April 27, 1917, in Paradise to James and Anne Beeman Winters. She was one of 15 children. She attended schools in Paradise and later graduated from White Salmon High School in White Salmon, Wash. She married Charlie R.
