McConnell, S.W. – Obituary

S. W. McConnell, who had been in ill health for a long time, died at his home in Paradise, Sunday, Nov. 10th, and was buried Tuesday in the Paradise cemetery. Mr. McConnell was well known in our locality and was held in very high esteem by those who were so fortunate as to know him. Dailey, Letha – Obituary

Word has been received of the death of Letha E. Dailey in a Portland hospital. She was born April 28, 1898 in Paradise, Oregon and passed away Sept. 3rd, 1967. She is survived by one brother, Donald Applegate, of Tillamook, Oregon; one sister, Mrs. Vadna Kuhn of La Grande; one son, Billy W. Dailey of Eugene, Oregon; one daughter, Mrs. Joan Alber of Portland, Oregon; five grandchildren and one great-grandson. Mrs. Dailey will be remembered as Letha Applegate in Wallowa County where she spent her early years. Biographical Sketch of William H. Pullen

William H. Pullen is one of the prominent men of Malheur County, being both a successful business man and property owner and popular County official. He was born in Illinois, on March 1, 1845, being the son of William and Mary (Weils) Pullen, natives respectively of Pennsylvania and Liverpool. When thirteen, he went with his parents to Texas, remaining there until 1867, and then returned to Illinois, where he engaged in farming until 1872.
