Reed, Ervin Ezra “John” – Obituary
Ervin Ezra “John” Reed, 77, of Union, passed away on July 23, 2009, at home. Born on October 26, 1931, in Okoboji, Iowa, he served in the U.S. Army and married Lucille A. Blom in 1956. They settled in Union, raising three daughters and enjoying the outdoors together. A member of Local 701 Operating Engineers until 1995, John was skilled in heavy equipment operation and had various hobbies, including restoring radios and fishing. He is survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
