Biographical Sketch of Frank L. Dyke
Frank L. Dyke, born in North East, Pennsylvania, on October 2, 1865, was the son of L. J. and Lucinda Stetson Dyke. He received education in Pennsylvania and Ohio before marrying Ada E. Brown in Cleveland in 1887. After teaching for nine years, he founded the Dyke School of Business in 1893, initially located in the Cuyahoga Building before moving to the Pythian Temple and later to the Browning Building. Dyke was also an active member of the Chamber of Commerce and the Automobile Club.
