Gary L. “Sandy” Sandstrom, age 64, passed away on July 29, 2006, in Superior, Montana, due to heart issues. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he was among the first stationed at the radar base in Baker City, where he later worked. Sandy was married to Kathryn Buchfinck in 1963, with whom he remained close even after their divorce. He is survived by his second wife, Bette, a daughter, a son, and several grandchildren. His funeral service is scheduled for Friday in Superior.
