Barns, Absalom – Obituary
Absalom “Pet” Barns, a Kittitas Valley pioneer and rancher, passed away at his farm after a prolonged illness due to acute Bright’s Disease. Born in Woodstock, Ontario, he moved to Wisconsin before relocating to Kittitas County in 1878. Barns married Melinda Geddis in 1880, and together they had seven children, all of whom survive him. His legacy includes a long-standing presence in the community and contributions to ranching. Funeral services are scheduled for tomorrow at Bridghams undertaking parlors.
