Oltman, William A. – Obituary

William A. Oltman, 82, of Marion township, passed away at Major Hospital after a six-month illness. Born on March 31, 1873, he was a lifelong farmer in Shelby County and a member of the Haw Patch Baptist Church. He married Emma Stoughton in 1898, who predeceased him in 1933. Oltman is survived by four children, three brothers, ten grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the Blue River Separate Baptist Church, with burial at Conover Cemetery.

Oltman, Emma May Stoughton – Obituary

Emma May Oltman, 52, tragically died after falling from a kitchen doorway during a family dinner at her uncle’s home in Bartholomew County. Despite immediate assistance, she succumbed to her injuries shortly after the incident. Born in Illinois on June 30, 1880, she is survived by her husband, William A. Oltman, two daughters, and several siblings. A member of the Hawcreek Baptist Church, her funeral will be held at the Blue River Separate Baptist Church, followed by burial at Conover Cemetery.
