Biographical Sketch of Franklin Callison
Franklin Callison, born on January 27, 1819, in Pocahontas County, Virginia, was the son of James Callison. He grew up in Virginia and moved to Daviess County in 1845, where he became a prominent farmer and real estate owner. Callison married Caroline Gibson in 1843, with whom he had four children. A Democrat, he has served in various political roles, currently as mayor of Jamesport and justice of the peace. His wife passed away in 1879, leaving him a respected figure in the community.
