Elizabeth Bonnie “Betty” Cordell, 83, passed away on June 6, 2002, in Elko, Nevada, after a prolonged illness. Born on December 12, 1921, in Isley, Wyoming, she spent most of her life in Baker City. A devoted housewife, she enjoyed various hobbies and was involved in community activities. She married twice, first to Robert C. Johnston, with whom she had four children, and later to Sammy Cordell. She is survived by her children, stepchildren, and numerous grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery.
