Thompson, Mark Pomroy – Obituary
Mark Pomroy Thompson, a respected pioneer of Wallowa County, passed away on April 2, 1943, after a brief illness. Born on October 26, 1874, in Iowa, he moved to Oregon in 1888. He married Mable U. Creasy in 1893 and spent much of his life in Imnaha, where he raised cattle. Thompson was a community-minded individual, known for his hospitality, and was survived by his wife, four children, ten grandchildren, and extended family. His funeral reflected the deep respect and connection he had with the local community.
