Choate, Sabe – Obituary
Sabe Choate, aged 78, passed away on August 17, 1903, in Summerville, Oregon. Born on April 13, 1825, in Tennessee, he was married twice, first to Sarah Mullinix, with whom he had eleven children, and later to her sister, Nancy J. Mullinix, with whom he had seven children. A member of the Baptist church and several fraternal organizations, including Hiram Lodge No. 87, his funeral was held under their auspices. He is remembered for his long-standing community involvement and family legacy.
