Vennell Dies At Hospital Mrs. Marguerite Louise Vennell of Enterprise passed away Monday, January 3, 1972 at Wallowa Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for one week. She had been in ill health for several years and had been a resident of Wallowa County for the past seven months. Harley Floyd Caudle Harley Floyd Caudle was born December 23, 1904, in Lostine, and died on April 23, 1997, in Enterprise at the age of 92. Harley was the son of Berkley V. and Carrie Viola Hammack Caudle. As a youngster he attended Lostine school until the age of 10 when he left home to go to work. Enterprise, Wallowa County, Oregon Mrs. Emma Samples, wife of John Samples, passed away Wednesday, June 23rd. Mrs. Samples was 48 years of age and came to Enterprise with her husband and family last fall to take charge of the City Hotel. She suffered an attack of pneumonia three weeks ago and the best of medical skill was not able to bring her back to health. The deceased leaves a husband and five children.
