Enterprise, Wallowa County, Oregon Murice Norman Juve, 74, died at his home in Salem, 668 Salem Heights So., on July 10, 1980. He had spent his childhood in Enterprise and was a graduate of Enterprise High School. He was born on July 14, 1905, in Neillsville, Wis. A graduate of Oregon State University, he was employed by the Oregon State Highway Department for over 30 years, retiring in 1967. He was a member of the Oregon Association of Civil Engineers. Enterprise, Wallowa County, Oregon Charles Andrew Simmons, 90, a life-long resident of Wallowa County, died on Thursday, Feb. 21, 1980, at Wallowa County Nursing Home, where he was a resident since 1975. He had been in poor health for many years. The son of James A. and Isabel Simmons, he was born in Joseph on Jan. 7, 1890. He was a farmer by occupation until his retirement. Enterprise, Oregon Larry Edward Gibson, 60, of Alder Slope, died Saturday, April 5, 2008, with family members at his side. Larry was diagnosed with an extremely aggressive form of brain cancer and died after a six-month fight and a short hospital stay. Larry was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, and raised in Fort Wayne, Ind., where he graduated from Bishop Luers High School in 1966. Enterprise, Wallowa County, Oregon Former Enterprise candy store owner, Walter Maxwell, died October 22, 1987 at Sumpter, the son of James H. and Lilly May Fisk. On October 27, 1926, he married Ruth Elaine Maxwell at Enterprise. She preceded him in death on September 22, 1986. The Maxwells owned and operated Maxwell’s candy store.
