Phyllis Lam, a longtime Eagle Valley Resident, died July 14, 2007, at Portland after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Her graveside funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Eagle Valley Cemetery in Richland. There will be a potluck afterward at the Eagle Valley Christian Church. Phyllis was born on April 19, 1925, to Laura and Joe Watson at Mitchell, Ind. She was joined five years later by a sister, Janie. She married Russell Lam in December 1946.
