Native of Eagle Valley, Passes at Age 91 Parent Crossed Plains by Wagon in 1874; Last of 13 Children. Memorial service for Anna Jane Cropp, will be conducted Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. in Grays’s West & Co. Pioneer Chapel. Pastor Marvin Carr of the First Christian Church will officiate. Interment will follow in the family plot in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Anna Cropp was born May 3, 1880 the daughter of pioneer parents, Frederick and Mary Ferguson Simonis, who crossed the plains in 1874 from Wisconsin. She was the last survivor of 13 children. Simonis of Baker died suddenly Sunday, March 26, at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harland Bennehoff of Walla Walla, where he and Mrs. Simonis had gone to spend the winter.
