Biographical Sketch of Silas Bowerman

Silas Bowerman, born around 1720 in Falmouth, relocated to New Bedford and later to Dover, New York, by 1780. The 1790 federal census recorded him in Pawling, Dutchess County, with a household comprising three males over sixteen, one under, and seven females. He was married to Lydia Gifford and had three sons: Silas, Malthiah, and Macy. Malthiah became the ancestor of the Milan Bowermans through his descendants, while Macy settled on the Rowland Story farm.
