Manso Indians. Located about Mesilla Valley, in the vicinity of the present Las Cruces, N. Mex. The mission of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe de los Mansos was founded among them but none of the native names of their villages are known.

Harmon, H.D. – Obituary

H.D. Harmon, 71, passed away on January 29, 2005, in Boise due to lymphoma bone cancer. Born on May 28, 1933, in Las Cruces, New Mexico, he was raised in Marfa, Texas, and worked in heavy construction for over 40 years in Oregon. He is survived by his wife, Norma, children, stepchildren, and numerous grandchildren. Harmon requested no funeral services and is remembered fondly by those who knew him. He was preceded in death by two sons.

Byram, Kenneth L. – Obituary

Kenneth L. Byram of Las Cruces, New Mexico, passed away on Sunday. He was a retired school teacher, a WWI veteran, and a member of the Lanesboro Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Byram, and several children including sons Kenneth, Howard, Russell, Kery, Theron, and Doren, along with daughters Margarita Bostrom and Ruth Elaine Byram, as well as a sister, Mrs. Hollis Herndon. Funeral arrangements are pending with Harding-Orr McDaniel.
