Biographical Sketch of Rev. A. W. Wilson
Rev. A. W. Wilson, a native of Tennessee, was educated at Washington and Greenville Colleges, graduating in 1857. He became a licensed minister in 1870 and held various educational roles, including principal of a high school and president of a female college in Tennessee. Relocating to Dodd City, Texas, in 1881, he has since been recognized as an esteemed scholar and educator with a commitment to public education, being considered a strong candidate for state superintendent of public instruction.
