1. MOSES4 CHASE (Daniel3, Moses2, Aquilla1) the tenth and youngest child of Daniel3 and Sarah (March) Chase, was b. March 16, 1727, in -Newbury, Mass. When about five years of age, he, with his parents rem. to Sutton, Mass. He came to Cornish at, or soon after, the first settlement of the town in 1765.

William Hall, a retired merchant of Plainfield, was born in Cornish, N.H., February 28, 1846, son of Israel and Elizabeth D. (Demming) Hall. He is a descendant of Willis Hall. His grandfather, Jonathan Hall, who was a native of Connecticut, was the first of the family to ascend the river for the purpose of settling.
