Humburg, Ruby E. – Obituary

Ruby E. Humburg, born March 27, 1896, passed away on May 17, 1984, in Woodlands, California. A former resident of Enterprise, Wallowa County, she lived there from 1969 until her move to Colusa in 1982. Preceded in death by her husband in 1959, she is survived by her daughter, Delores Preece, and two sons, Ralph and Gene, along with nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. A member of various local organizations, memorial services were conducted by the Rebekahs.

Biography of Samuel K. Klinefelter

Samuel K. Klinefelter, born June 10, 1845, in Ohio, was the youngest partner at Hayt Klinefelter, a prominent Riverside livery stable. After moving to Kansas, he enlisted in the Seventh Regiment of Kansas Cavalry during the Civil War, participating in significant battles before returning to farming. He later ventured to California, engaging in various businesses including dairy, hotel management, and meat markets. By 1887, he established a successful livery operation in Riverside, becoming a well-respected community figure and a dedicated Republican.

Mobley, Floyd William – Obituary

Floyd William Mobley, 99, of Baker City, Oregon, passed away on June 12, 2003. A graveside service is scheduled for June 17 at Mount Hope Cemetery, followed by a potluck picnic at Geiser Pollman Park. Born on April 21, 1904, in Booneville, Arkansas, Floyd moved west as a child, ultimately becoming a logger in Oregon and Washington. He was married to Dorothy Totman Wilson and had six children. Floyd is remembered for his love of nature, poetry, and music.
