It includes the hamlets of Goveton, Lidestone, and part of Frogmore. The manor is primarily held by Lord Ashburton, while Frogmore’s ownership is contested. The parish features St. Mary’s Church, an ancient building recently renovated. The rectory, overseen by Rev. Thos. Twysden, has a glebe of over 30 acres and the tithes are commuted for £557 annually. An old cottage serves the parish’s poor.
