George L. Wilkie, born on June 26, 1890, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, is a progressive farmer known for his modern agricultural practices. A descendant of pioneer families, he successfully manages a 160-acre farm near Bartlesville, where he has implemented significant improvements. Educated locally, he served in the Ninety-seventh Division during World War I. Married to Minnie Vaughn, they have three children. Wilkie’s dedication to farming, civic duty, and integrity has earned him respect within his community.
K. J. Montgomery, known as Jack, is a prominent cattleman and businessman in northeastern Oklahoma, born on January 21, 1887, in Cedar County, Missouri. Burford was active in the community and a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge.
Andrew Wilkinson, aged 84, passed away on August 9, 1926, in Vader, Washington. Born in Cedar County, Missouri, he emigrated to Colorado and then traveled to the Grande Ronde Valley, where he became a successful farmer and cattleman. He married Mary Virginia Lamere in 1876, with whom he had three children. Following his wife’s death in 1913, he lived primarily with his daughter, Nora Webb. A respected pioneer known for his friendly nature and integrity, Wilkinson’s funeral was held at the Methodist Church in Union.
J. T. Montgomery, born on October 18, 1852, in Cedar County, Missouri, pursued his education through hard work, attending various schools while supporting himself as a farm laborer and later as a clerk and teacher. He graduated from Chicago Medical College in 1876 and partnered with Dr. W. J. Peak in Oakland. Montgomery established a successful medical practice and married Mary A. Gerard on October 12, 1876. They had one daughter, Sarah Emily, born July 8, 1877.
