Budd, Thomas – Obituary
Thomas Budd, a Civil War veteran, passed away on October 7, 1918, at his home in Caro due to dropsy, after nearly a year of illness. Born in England on August 14, 1840, he was a farmer and moved to the county in 1900. He was a member of the G.A.R. and the M.E. Church. Budd married Thursa Gifford in 1865, raising six children, and after her death in 1911, he married Nancy J. Hamilton in 1915. His funeral was conducted by Rev. A. L. Dells.
