Biographical Sketch of George Bennett Siddall

George Bennett Siddall, born on December 13, 1866, in Oberlin, Ohio, was an accomplished attorney. He graduated from Oberlin College in 1891 and from Western Reserve Law School. Admitted to the bar in 1896, he joined the law firm of Henderson, Quail & Siddall in 1904. Siddall held numerous leadership roles, including secretary and general counsel for The Peerless Motor Car Co. and president of multiple refining and quarry companies. He was active in several professional associations and clubs in Ohio and Chicago.

Mrs. Eva Maria Planting passed away on June 2, 1929, at the age of 78 after a prolonged illness. Born in Sweden, she immigrated to Calumet, Michigan in 1873 and later settled in Umatilla County, Oregon. A devoted member of the Apostolic Lutheran Church, she was the mother of 12 children, with 11 surviving, and had numerous grandchildren and relatives. Her husband, Gustaf W. Planting, predeceased her in 1911. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday at the Finnish Lutheran Church in Pendleton.

Molstrom, Joanna Margaret Tengman – Obituary

Mrs. Margaret Molstrom, aged 82, passed away on March 12, 1931, at her daughter’s home. Born in Haaparanta, Sweden on November 30, 1848, she moved to Norway at 17 and married Henry Molstrom in 1873. They settled in Calumet, Michigan, before relocating to Centerville, Washington, and eventually to the local area. She is survived by four sons, three daughters, and numerous grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Apostolic Lutheran Church, with interment at Olney Cemetery.

Christopher, Sophia Marie Planting – Obituary

Mrs. Isaac (Sophia Maria) Christopher, aged 89, passed away on November 25, 1963, at Hirsches Nursing Home. Born in Calumet, Michigan, on June 22, 1874, she moved to Umatilla County as a child. Married in 1897, she and her husband later resided in Pendleton. A dedicated member of the Apostolic Lutheran Church, she served in various leadership roles. She is survived by her sons Walney A. and Franklin A., as well as daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her funeral will take place on Friday at Olney Cemetery.

Planting, Gustav Wilhelm – Obituary

Gustaf W. Planting, a prominent pioneer farmer in Umatilla County, passed away at his home near Adams at the age of 66. Born in Finland in 1845, he immigrated to Michigan before settling in Oregon in 1877. He is survived by his wife, two brothers, a sister, and 11 children, including Walter, John, and several daughters, as well as 16 grandchildren. Wiidanen, Charles – Obituary
