Biographical Sketch of John Nelson Stockwell
John Nelson Stockwell was an astronomical mathematician born on April 10, 1832, in Northampton, Massachusetts. He was educated in Brecksville, Ohio, and received honorary degrees from Western Reserve University. Stockwell married Sarah Healy in 1855 and is noted for his original research in astronomy.
