Biographical Sketch of Harold North Fowler
Harold North Fowler was born on February 25, 1859, in Westfield, Massachusetts. He graduated from Harvard in 1880 and pursued further studies in Athens, Bonn, and Berlin, earning a Ph.D. in 1885. Fowler held various academic positions, including professor at Phillips Exeter Academy and the University of Texas. He joined the College for Women at Western Reserve University in 1893 and became editor-in-chief of the American Journal of Archaeology in 1906. He authored several notable works on Greek and Roman literature and contributed to various scholarly publications.
