Kuchler, Windsor – Obituary

Windsor M. Kuchler, aged 91, passed away on June 29 at Grande Ronde Hospital in La Grande. A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at Daniels-Knopp Funeral, followed by burial at Summerville Cemetery. Born on May 26, 1917, in Bismarck, N.D., Windsor married Gail Bull in 1937 and later moved to La Grande in 1963, where he farmed after a career in logging. He is survived by his family and remembered for his love of the outdoors and animals.

Norton, John Patrick – Obituary

John Patrick Norton, 88, passed away on May 31, 2006, in Baker City, Oregon. Born on December 13, 1917, he served as a pharmacist’s mate in the U.S. Navy during World War II before earning a pharmacy degree. Norton owned Nortons Pharmacy for 20 years and was actively involved in the community, including the Baker City Rotary Club and as a SMART volunteer. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing with family. He is survived by his daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
