Palmer, Katie Lee – Obituary

Katie Lee Palmer, 85, Corvallis, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 1968, at a local nursing home. Private services will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fred Knickrehm officiating at the DeMoss-Durdan Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Colfax Cemetery at Colfax, Washington. Those wishing may make memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Palmer to the Oregon 4-H Club Foundation for the 4-H center. These may be sent to the DeMoss-Durdan Funeral Home. Members of the Masonic Lodge A.F.&A.M., No. 14, will conduct Masonic rites. Mr. Beery died Sunday [February 7, 1982] at the Corvallis Manor. Ivan Jim Whitt, 86, who lived in Baker City before moving to the Tri-Cities area, died December 16, 2005, in the loving arms of his family. He was born April 7, 1915, in Leander, Texas, and resided in Tularosa, New Mexico, until going into the Army in October 1942. Jim served with the 690th Replacement Company throughout the Luzon campaign during World War II. He was discharged in February 1946 and served as an Air Force reservist until January 1960.
