MARION FRANCIS MULKEY.- This gentleman, the eldest son of Johnson Mulkey, and who took up, and conducted in the spirit, and to some extent in the method, the pioneer activities of his father, was born in Johnson county, Missouri, November 14, 1836. Lester Elvin Talbott, 94, of Junction City, and a former Baker City resident, died March 22, 2002. His funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Chapel in Junction City. Visitations will be Tuesday from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Burial will be at Alford Cemetery. Mr. Talbott was born Dec. 23, 1907, at Tillamook to Francis and Franky (Farley) Talbott. Corvallis, Oregon Gladys Sarah Hale, 93, of Corvallis, died Monday, Nov. 1, 1993, at Corvallis Manor. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel, Burns Mortuary of Hermiston with burial at the Echo, Oregon Cemetery. Mrs. Hale was born May 28, 1900 at Lostine to Jacob Clairborne and Emily E. Hammack Womack. She grew up in Lostine and attended school there. On Nov. 17, 1920, she married Roy Charles Hale at Pendleton. The couple lived at Echo where Mr. Hale was postmaster for many years. Alice Larkin died in her home at MooreCare in Kent, Wash., March 9. A memorial service will be held Saturday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 19030 Eighth Ave S., SeaTac, Wash., at 1 p.m. Burial will take place in Island City at a future date.
