George Martin White, 77, died on Jan. 30, 2003, while visiting his daughter in Oasis, Nev. He was born in Salt Creek, Wyo., to John and Irene (Ritchie) White, May 30, 1925. A World War II veteran, Mr. White enlisted in the navy in early 1943 and served until the War’s end. Assignments included the USS Shannon and the USS Chester. Dale, a member of the American Medical Association and Retired officers Association was a native of Baker. Services were scheduled to be held this afternoon at San Francisco with interment to follow at the San Francisco National Cemetery. Contributions to Col. Harry L.
