Bennett, Clara D. – Obituary

Clara D. Bennett, 96, of Aurora, passed away at home on April 12, 2004. Born on October 15, 1907, in Anatone, Washington, she was first married to Edward W. Snodderly in 1926, later marrying Lawrence Bennett until his death in 1992. Clara lived in several locations throughout her life, including Enterprise and John Day. She is survived by her daughters, sons, a sister, a brother, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside services took place on April 16, 2004, in Pomeroy, Washington.

Butler, Georgia LaVella – Obituary

Georgia LaVelle Butler, 95, of La Grande, passed away on September 11, 2006. A celebration of her life is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Thursday at the United Methodist Church, with a graveside service at Willamette National Cemetery on Friday. Born on September 27, 1910, she graduated from La Grande High School and trained as a nurse, marrying Chester W. Butler in 1941. Active in her community and church, she is survived by cousins and many friends, having been preceded in death by her sister and husband.

Edwards, Ivan Russell – Obituary

Ivan Russell Edwards, 83, of Woodburn, Oregon, passed away on January 25, 2003. Born in Baker City on February 4, 1919, he was a boilermaker and a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. A member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, he had a passion for hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Elsie, daughters Shellie and Sally, son Charles, a sister, and several grandchildren. No funeral was held per his request.
