Biography of G. G. Greeley

G. G. Greeley, born in 1817 in Belfast, Maine, was a dedicated horticulturist who settled near Anaheim, California. After learning carpentry and working across various states, he joined the California Gold Rush in 1849 and worked in mining before transitioning to horticulture. By 1869, Greeley established a successful agricultural lifestyle, focusing on grapes and oranges, while also investing in Anaheim Union Water Works. He married Hannah B. Greeley in 1860, and they enjoy a peaceful life together, remaining active in the Republican party.
