Martha Annie McEwen, 89, died Saturday evening at her home in Wingville after a long illness. She was born Dec. 27, 1883, in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, the daughter of William A. and Lucinda Elliott. She moved to Auburn with her parents in 1884, and later came to Baker Valley where she lived the remainder of her life.
