Mrs. Grace M. Lawson, 65, of Fremont, died at 2:15 a.m. today [May 3, 1944] at her home in Fremont after being in failing health several years.
Her husband, Dr. F. E. Lawson, M. D., died 17 years ago. She had spent all her life in Fremont and Hedrick communities.
Survivors are her son, Warren (Doc) Lawson of Marshalltown, widely know as an orchestra leader; two grandsons, two brothers, and a sister.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Fremont Methodist Church in charge of the Rev. T. C. Kennedy of Oskaloosa, assisted by the Rev. J. W. Zerbe of Fremont. Burial will be in Cedar Township Cemetery at Fremont.
The body is at the Fremont Cooperative Burial Association.
