Biographical Sketch of W.F. Scott

W.F. Scott, of the firm of Scott Bros., dealers in general merchandise, is a native of W. Va.; moved to Clinton county, Ia., in 1864, and to Denison in 1871, and engaged in the mercantile business. He came to Mapleton in 1877, erected a large store building, and engaged in his present business. He was appointed postmaster in Dec., 1881, and is also express agent.
