All copies of this manuscript reference a J. F. Lemen as a funeral director in Bicknell. The only funeral director that I can find record of with the name Lemen, however, is H. F. Lemen, who operated the Lemen and McClure Funeral Home alongside Daniel McClure. This funeral home is now called the Bicknell Chapel.

• Pages 1 – 54 give the name, age, place of burial of the deceased, date of death, and the names of parents when listed. place of birth is believe to have been Indiana unless otherwise stated. There is no page 33 in the manuscript. It appears that the author accidentally skipped the page number.
