Mr. Ferguson was born Nov. 4, 1931, to Emery Wesley and Marie (Sanford) Ferguson in Hilgard and was raised in Eastern Oregon. He enlisted in the Army, serving in Korea and Vietnam. Chapel of the Roses in Roseburg is in charge of arrangements. Thomas was born June 11, 1939, to Grady and Lorene (Priest) Fennell in Monticello, Ark. In 1947, the Fennell family moved to the Sutherlin area. Thomas graduated from Sutherlin High School in 1957, and enlisted in the Army 87th Airborne unit. Mr. Fanning, son of Henry Clay and Catherine Petersen Fanning, was born June 7, 1905, at Carman-Gay, Alberta, Canada. Mr. Fanning was married on April 18, 1936 at Walla Walla, Wash. to the former Hilda Juanita Ticer, who survives him. Mrs. John Evans, a few moments before apparently in her usual health, dropped dead in the huckleberry fields at the second crossing of Wolf Creek Friday.
