Lee C. Long, Former Haines Man Dies At Phoenix
Lee C. Long, 62, died suddenly Saturday morning at his home in Phoenix, Arizona. Relatives did not know details as yet.
The son of the late pioneers, Alonzo and Julia Long, Mr. Long was born March 10, 1884 near Haines. September 1904 he married Alta Toney, daughter of the late A.J. Toney.
In March 1917 he left Baker with his family for Arizona. He was an employee of the late Jake Scholls in the Baker Mill and Grain Company. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Alta Long; one daughter, Mrs. Vera Foust of Los Angeles; two sons, Ralph of Phoenix and Otis of Los Angeles; two brothers, William O. Long of Baker and Arch J. Long of Portland; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Welch of Los Angeles, Mrs. Rose Bell of Redmond and Mrs. Lora Loy of Farina, Ill.; one granddaughter; one grandson; and two great grandchildren.
Burial will be in Phoenix.
