Mrs. Effie Imogene Bathurst, who had resided in Chico for the past 49 years, died at the Taylor’s Nursing Home Monday following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Bathurst was born in Marion County, Oregon, on July 14, 1878, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Franklin. From 1920 until 1946, Mrs. Bathurst was employed at Richardson Springs and in 1926, was married to William J. Bathurst, Sr. She was a member of Josephine Chapter No. 104, OES of Chico, the WBA of Chico and the Pioneer Club of Chico.
