Like an old history book, old cemeteries and their tombstones relate a history. In Muhlenberg County, there are between 275 and 300 known cemeteries, some of them abandoned and not in use. In these cemeteries are more than 23,000 marked graves, all of them with a story of some sort to tell. (Old Cemeteries Hold Key to Muhlenberg History)
