Mae Guffey Campbell, 98, of Kalispell, Mont., whose husband, Harry, is a former Baker City resident, died Aug. 31, 2006, with her husband at her side.
Her memorial service was at noon Tuesday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at Kalispell, Mont. There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. Friday at Mount Hope Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
Mrs. Campbell was born on May 3, 1908, at Far West, Mo., to William Jeptha and Lucy Luenda Littrell Guffey. She worked as a retail salesperson at Denver and as an insurance salesperson at Great Falls, Mont., in her early life.
Later she greatly enjoyed working with her husband on numerous ranches. They loved traveling between ranches, sometimes traveling more than 500 miles in a weekend.
She was preceded in death by her children, Norman Livengood and Peggy Dwiggins; and two grandchildren, Lynn Livengood and Thelma Livengood Korb; her parents; two sisters; and two brothers.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Harry; four grandchildren, Judy Mae Hickey, Bonnie Farrar, Connie Souza and Edward Livengood; 12 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Johnson Mortuary and Crematory of Kalispell is in charge of arrangements.
