Mr. Morgan was elected Senator from Tahlequah District August 5, 1901 ; and was elected a member of the State Legislature from Mayes County in the fourth and seventh Legislatures.
Mr. and Mrs. Morgan were the parents of Houston Mayo, Mary Llewellyn, Martha Lelia, Margaret Elizabeth, Amanda Payne, Sallie Mayo, and Nellie Payne Moran.
