Paul Moore, 73, a longtime Baker City resident, died Sept. 11, 2001, at St. Elizabeth Health Services.
A memorial service and family gathering will take place later. Disposition was by cremation at Eastern Oregon Pioneer Crematory. His remains will be placed in Willamette National Cemetery with his wife, Claire.
Mr. Moore worked construction all of his adult life, until he retired as a heavy duty mechanic. He loved to hunt and fish, and was always willing to help other people. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Mr. Moore is survived by his son, Dee Lane Moore and his wife, Beverly, of Oakridge; a grandson, Keith Moore, and granddaughter, Tracy Ankeman; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Aren S. Moore and his wife, Patty, of John Day; sisters, Monirah Moore of Portland and Carole Ashby and her husband, Wilbur, of John Day; a half brother, Tom Moore of Union; and four stepchildren, Nikki Wiskoff, Cindy Hammond, Tony English and Ginger Noland.
Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his wife and the mother of his children, Claire Moore; a son, Roland Moore; his second wife, Doris English; and his parents.
