In celebration of her life, a funeral service will be held in Baker City, Oregon on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Coles Funeral Home. Pastor Rich Mark will preside over the ceremonies. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery with a reception to follow at the Baker First Church of the Nazarene fellowship hall.

Rebecca was born November 12, 1917 in Endicott, Washington and was reared and educated in Camas, Washington. She married Richard H. Mark on June 12, 1939 after having met at the Crown Zellerback paper mill in Camas, Washington, where they both were employed. With two young children, they moved to Nampa, Idaho in 1945 to be close to Christian schools and Northwest Nazarene University. They raised six children in the Nampa area on a 35 acre farm with plenty of horses, cows and other farm animals to keep the children busy.

Rebecca was passionate about her children, music, flowers, gardening and serving her Lord. She loved the hymns of the church and hearing anointed messages from Gods Word.

She is survived by her six children and their spouses, Becky and Byron Henry of Baker City, Richard and Tamee Mark of Nampa, Idaho, Dan and Linda Mark of Baker City, Leona and Al Knapp of Nampa, Idaho, David and Eva Mark of Bellevue, Wash., and Lynn and Joe Roberts of Culver; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters and their spouses, Mary and Marvin Meyer of Nampa, Idaho, and Florence and Don Eby of Vancouver, Wash.; and two brothers, Col. John Morasch and his wife, Annette, and Dr. Daniel Morasch and his wife, Leah, both of Vancouver, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; both parents, John and Anna Morasch; four sisters, Anna, Pauline, Lill and Elizabeth; a brother, Conrad; and three young grandchildren, Kevin Henry, Wendee Mark and Clinton Knapp.

The family expressed appreciation to Grace Assisted Living, Mercy Hospital and Karcher Estates for their gentle loving care and concern shown to Rebecca.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to dedicate a memorial in their mother’s name to Baker City First Church of the Nazarene for a Family Work and Witness project through Coles Funeral Home, 1950 Place St., Baker City, OR 97814.
