Leep, Leonard R. – Obituary

Funeral services for Leonard R. Leep, 43, 2350 F. Street who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at St. Elizabeth Hospital last night, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday from West and Co. Chapel.

Joe Jewett will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Mr. Leep was born in Halfway on May 12, 1916. He moved with his parents to Baker about 14 years ago and had been employed as a truck driver.

He served in World War II with the 3420th Ordnance Medium Auto Maintenance Co. in the European Theater and held membership in the American Legion Post 41, Anthony Lakes Post 3048 and Voiture 517 of the 40 et 8. He attended schools in Halfway.

Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Leep of Baker; four children, Kenneth, Karen, Ellis and Wallis; and a brother, George; three nieces.
